Al was snapped out of his thoughts, then smiled softly, sadly, at the younger boy. "The charms master prob'ly though the same thing. Love can overcome anything, though! It has too! It absolutely has too, or he'll end up alone and he's too awesome for that!" Al found himself standing on the bed in a fit of passion. He believed what he said wholeheartedly.
"The wise one and the flier wouldn't go through so much trouble if they didn't want, NEED, the Charm master in their lives! And if he couldn't see that, then - then -" Al's eyes started to water, but he shook his head and plopped onto the bed. "Then the flier will just have to prove how much he cares for the Charm master." Al mumbled the last bit into his pillow, trying to hide the tears that threatened his face.
"The story CAN'T end like that. It just CAN'T."

Arthur watched this. He didn't know whether the two would even remember any of this anyway, but they certainly couldn't remember themselves now. Yet there were things shifting in their subconsious.
"Love doesn't just have to be one thing. Love can mean anything. As long as it keeps us smiling, as long as it keeps us going, as long as it makes us care, it's Love."
He watched the younger boys decrumbling state, before a hand reached over, and ruffled the boy's hair affectionately. He motioned for him to sit with him and Matthew to comfort him properly. No four or eight year old should be thinking these things. This was... on a different level.
"... No, it isn't. Strength in numbers, remember? No one can survive alone, remember? If that was true, we wouldn't have families. We wouldn't have friends. And if your friends are true, they'd do anything for another friend. Even if something meant that an evil wizard would come after them, if they're willing to do it then they don't care about that. They only care about you."
Arthur tried to put it into simpler terms, making sure the child stayed relatively calm.
"Lets see.... if you had someone you cared about very much.. like a best friend or maybe your mother or brother or sister... if you could help stop them getting hurt even if it meant you could get hurt, wouldn't you still do it? And why would you?"
Arthur watched the older of the two become distressed, and he sighed. He felt this wasn't just the child part of Alfred speaking. He looked at him for a moment. He shook his head.
"... It doesn't, Alfred. It won't. It won't end like that. I promise."
He'd made that promise since the first day..

"I would help them." The younger boy said with out a second thought. "Becuase they need it."
He stopped as the idea sunk into his mind, Als little speech going past his head. He was confused but it seemed that one idea, the idea that for his loved one he would give it all, seemed important. He gripped the others arm. Something weird was happening and he was getting a head ache as thoughts more complex than his mind could handle surfaced. He closes his eyes as pain throbs through his head and whimpers. The Thoughts seem to understand and leave, and he once more is just interested in the story. "Please Awthaw, how does it end then?"

Al rolled closer to the man and the other boy, nodding. "Tell us the rest. Please?" He looked up at Arthur, eager for the story but drained after his outburst. He'd drift off soon. 'When I'm older, and I've met that special someone, I don't want to be too late, like the flier. I'd do anything, though. Anything.'

Noticing the boy's state of tiredness, Arthur just opted to slowly leaning back on the bed, taking Matthew with him. The 'children' weren't really the only ones who were exhausted out of their mind. Not to mention, Matthew started to look in pain. He held the child just a little closer.
He started to hum something under his breath. He smiled, slightly.
".... I'll promise to finish it tomorrow...~"

Matt nodded and settled against the other, still clutching to him with one hand while the other went out for Als. Sleepily he flailed until he caught a hold of the others hair and gripped it tight. With a sleepily little noise he shifted until he was comfortable and let his eyes fall shut.

Al winced as Mattie gripped his hair, but smiled despite it. He carefully disentangled Mattie's hand from the strands, then held the small fingers. This was nice. Al drifted off, hand entwined around Mattie's.
He wouldn't remember that dreams of his adult life when he woke up, but he would remember dreaming of holding an Older Mattie, both happily cuddling on a bed.

After a few hours, Kiku started to feel his head slowly get heavier with drowsiness. He wondered how Arthur was doing with the others, and wether he had successfully made the kids fall asleep.
...Maybe he fell asleep with the others. Kiku chuckled to himself, joking and leaning back onto his chair, sipping tea.
Silence.
"He couldn't have..." The chair scraped against the ground, as Kiku stood up and walked towards the entrance. He had heard mumbling come from the other side of the room, and was curious to enter and listen in with them, but something kept him from entering.
"Mr. Kirkland." He whispered, opening the door quietly. "Have the children fallen asleep ye-" The door creaked quietly as he saw the three, asleep. "...oh my."
He cursed himself for the lack of a camera. He would need to buy one sometime SOON. Preferably before they would change back into children. He walked over to his bed and grabbed a thin woolen blanket before gently covering them with it. He saw them stir, before resuming their cuddling positions.
How were they able to mingle together so well, despite only having 'met' in a few hours? He couldn't understand the way children were so...trusting sometimes. It made him think. Was he just as trusting towards adults back then?
...no, he wasn't. Adults were someone to admire from afar for their strength and power.
The thought of him never really attaching to someone made Kiku suddenly feel overcome with a strange feeling. He didn't like it at all. Kiku went back to concentrating on the three sleeping before them.
They all looked so beautiful. Blonde hair, shimmering skin. Like Angels, who had taken a break from the skies to nap on...
Don't worry Kiku. I'm sure the headmaster would change your precious books back to 'books' later on. He told himself quietly.
while closing the door, and stretching his neck. "....I'll need to make some preparations for tomorrow." He mumbled while taking out his wand, and summoning a house elf. "I'm very sorry for the late calling, but I would like two sets of children clothes bought here pronto...preferably while I am still awake.. Would you please do that for me?" He smiled apologetically at the house elf, who stammered a yes, and poofed.
The least Kiku could do, was prepare clothes for them that fit, and simple things like toothbrushes, band-aids, things he felt comfortable dealing with instead of the fancy wizarding things they seemed to have around here. It was prep for the occasion should the Headmaster leave him with the children alone.
He had been woken up by the House elf some hours later, the morning light blinding his eyes. His sleeve was being tugged and his knee tapped as he looked down and smiled tiredly at the smaller being. "Thank you so much.." Kiku accepted the package gently, before standing up and stretching. Asking for breakfast to be brought in when the other three would wake up, Kiku felt his back throb terribly when he touched his shoulders feeling them tense. He had fallen asleep in a weird position. Groaning softly, Kiku rubbed his sore shoulders debating to go back to sleep on his own bed, before noticing the time. Half past ten.
..Had it been that long already? Kiku stifled a yawn before opening the door to his room quietly to retrieve fresh clothes for himself..

Well, Arthur really wasn't expecting to have slept for that long. He'd just leant back, closed his eyes and expected the children to fall asleep before he'd creep back out and leave them to it.
But next thing he'd known the curtain had a crack of sunlight shifting through it, giving the image that it was, indeed, morning.
An eye cracked open and the Headmaster blearily gazed out in the room for a moment, the memories filling in and jumping in order together-
As soon as he realised where he was, Arthur nearly sat up straight. The lump on his chest made him halt however and he looked down. He couldn't help but let his expression soften, before he paused. Well, kids usually slept quite heavy and he needed to see if Kiku was alright... It was really quite impolite for him to have fallen asleep like that... But who else would've put that blanket over them all?
With a small grunt, the stiffness in his back and shoulders really making itself known to him now, he gently shifted Matthew off his chest and moved him onto the bed as he sat up, in place of where he had been previously laying. Standing up slowly, he made sure the child didn't wake properly, before slowly, somewhat limping, his way over out of the room.
As he walked out his hair was stuck up just slightly on one side and he didn't notice it till he caught himself in the mirror. Quickly licking at his fingers he ran his hand through his hair to straighten it out. It didn't really work too much.
He looked at Kiku, stifling a yawn. He didn't really know what to say.
"... Good Morning."
Um.
Well, he wasn't really used to being caught in such soft situations such as that.

Matt grunted and when he was set down whimpered, squirming around looking for some sort of warmth. He turned over and unconsciously wriggled closer to the older boy. He stuck his finger in his mouth and sighed sucking lightly on it.
In his dreams Matthew sat under a tree, leaning against the bark and chatting to someone, blond golden hair, strong sholders and hands. They laughed and he sound like a dork.

A stirred in his sleep, wrapping an arm around the smaller boy and holding him close. A happy warmth filtered into his dream of cuddling Mattie, along with settling into his body. It was like sleeping under the sun in a grassy field, so pleasant and nice...

He stopped for a moment, seeing the other adult standing in front of the mirror fixing his tousled hair. Not that it looked any different then usual to Kiku. "Good morning, Headmaster." He was surprised to see that the other had woken up. Well, it was half past ten. Rubbing his neck and trying to ignore the sharp pain, Kiku walked by Arthur briefly to pull out fresh clothes from his closet. He would have to retire to the restrooms to make himself adequate, and so would the headmaster himself. "Excuse me." He slipped into the hall before briefly changing in a matter of moments, and clipping on his suspenders and pulling back on his robe, walked back out.
"I can look over them while you go ahead to freshen yourself, Headmaster Kirkland. I've already asked for breakfast to be brought here for the children."
All he needed now, was a cup of tea to start the day.

The male nodded and disappeared out of the room for a few moments. He didn't spend too long in there, already feeling quite abrash about accidentally falling asleep like that. He knew that this all technically belonged to hiim and was under his governance, but really.
Hogwarts belonged to no one in particular. It was a home for everyone who needed it.
Returning just a few moments later in his own, fresh robes (having summoned them with his own spell) he shuffled back out, his eyes lighting up as the breakfast appeared. Including tea.
Perfect.
He settled himself down, quaintly reaching out and taking a sip for himself. He looked at the Librarian, sympathetically.
".. Sorry about that. I didn't realise that I'd... drop off."

The other man seemed almost a little too embarrassed about having fallen asleep. Kiku was surprised when he first went in there, but Arthur Kirkland was the Headmaster. He must be fatigued on a daily basis.. "There's nothing bad about that. You're much better at taking care of children, I'm very glad that you're here regardless of your busy schedule..At this point I don't really know what other to do, then apologize." Kiku reached for a piece of melon with his fingers, before popping it into his mouth. The sweet juicy fruit soothed his throat and washed over his tense self.
Now that breakfast was ready, he should go wake the kids.. "Last night, I ordered two sets of children clothes for them to wear, other then my coat and Matthew's..old clothes.."

There was a soft nod of agreement; Arthur himself would have most definitely sorted this all out himself provided that he had not become too personally involved with the children. Arthur sipped at his tea.
"Sounds like a superb idea. Thank you."
He didn't know what they'd do once the children themselves woke up, but still. He still shook his head, chuckling a little embarassingly.
"There's no need to apologise. I took up the role by choice, in case you hadn't realised."

Matthew shivered as he slowly begans to wake up. Its cold, hes cold but something bigger than him is holding him, so he settles back, letting his mind drift as he hears muffled voices wash over him. Thats right, Mommy had dropped him off with two nice men, they were taking care of him. He felt a twinge in his stomach but ignored it as he drifted back to sleep, dreaming of waterfalls.

Al stirred at the voices. Even though he was now awake, he didn't want to get up at all. He frowned, then pulled the blanket over his and Mattie's heads, then held the smaller boy tighter. He wanted to stay in beeeeeeedd.......

Mattie screwed up his face, whimpering. In his dreams he was in a great big river that was flowing and tossing him around. His tummy hurt though and there was such and intense pressure that he felt like he was going to burst.
Al would feel a small wet patch began to spread over them.

Al felt the wetness alright. He jumped up and threw the blankets down the bed. "Ah!"
That was just... He sighed. Mattie had wet the bed. 'well, he IS just a little kid. Still, ewwwwwwwwwwwww.'
"Um.... Mattie?"

"...I'll still try to be a little friendlier towards the children..given the fact that you might not be able to be here all day, I cannot allow myself to rely on you too much..You are our Headmaster." Kiku stopped himself from apologizing again. The other man didn't need anyone to tell him that he was the blooming Headmaster every five minutes, and Kiku wasn't helping. "Thank you."
.......FFFF.
He actually found himself feeling awkward in silence. "I was thinking about going to the gardens with the children so they'll have something to do other then look out a window." Kiku suggested, before hearing a noise from his rooms.
"It seems they've waken up."
