((Matthew Williams, Alfred F. Jones, Arthur Kirkland))
Kiku was boring himself to tears. Absolutely. Utterly. Boring himself to tears. However, he had started this on his own accord so he HAD to go through with it. It wasn't like he had anything else to do, and for the first time, he was doing something that contributed to Hogwarts. Something that would drive all bookworms and lazy students crazy.
He was about to put deadline tag charms on the books. Every. Single. One of them. It took him 5 days and 6 nights of planning the charm, but somehow, he did it. It wasn't going to be THAT complex, and his O.W.L. score gave Kiku more then enough confidence, to be sure that he wouldn't mess anything up.
...I won't have to bother with the restricted section cause they probably already have some form of curse on them.......now, the books in the front.......god, there's going to be screaming from every room in this campus... Kiku held his head in his hands, mildly fearing himself getting in trouble for this.
Three weeks was enough for them right? He would keep the thick books used for long term studying and the restricted section out of way. If they were slow readers, then.....that was their problem.
It would also keep the kids who would sneak out books for keeping a kick in the ass. Though Kiku also did that back in his day.
....he wasn't the Librarian at that time. So too bad for them.
"Alright...I hexed the books that don't need to be charmed....all the students are out of here that I know of..Restricted section should be alright..." Kiku mumbled too himself, going over the list for the fourth time before raising his wand. "......I hope this works;;" He swallowed nervously before waving the wand in the air.

And as soon as that wand was flicked and the spell was cast; a few things happened within a couple of seconds.
For one, some faint, echoing sound could probably be heard off somewhere in the distance. It'd caused some students to flail in terror, but that wasn't the worst of it.
In the Headmaster's office; where the Headmaster was currently quietly sat and working on embroidery some papers. It was just another, dull day to him and the portraits around him were just softly muttering to themselves on the walls. Of course, that all changed when Arthur's whole office erupted in screeches and wails. There was a large yell from the occupant from the room as the shock forced him backwards off the chair and he landed with a loud clatter on the floor behind him, one of the accused books lay open.
He eyed it admist the dim, a hand covering his ear in the sudden shock.
There was an exclamation of surprise, before Arthur leapt to his feet and started running out of the office.
.. Before he returned a moment later, taking a sip of his tea before he replaced it somewhere where it wouldn't vibrate off the desk.
It didn't take him long to reach the entrance of the library, coming to a shocked screech as he realised the library itself was pretty much.. silent. He blinked, and eyed the librarian.
He opened his mouth.
"WHY-- I mean, why" He flattened out his robes, still adusting to the lack of din. "Is my bloody office currently attempting to shatter all my fine glass and pottery, Honda?"
Now this would take some explaining to do..

Even as Arthur asked this Matt came charging into the room a large stack of booked floating behind him each screaming loudly in a melody of howls. He looked around, purple eyes wide with shock until he spotted the librarian. In moments he had dropped the books at the others feet. Matthew was sweating and panting much more than would be needed for a run from his office to the library.
He leaned against the desk puffing and shaking, not looking well at all. In his mind he fought off the images of him, screaming in a pitch close to the book he had been holding. When he could think he turned to Kiku.
"Are these yours?" he asked above the Screeching.

Al Was glad he was already on his way to return the book in his hands when the thing shook and screeched. The American winced, and started going a bit faster. The library door was swinging closed hen he reached it.
Slipping in with a quick look around, and shivered slightly at the coolness of the library. "Dammit, left my robe in my room," he grumbled, then carried the book to Kiku's desk. Much to his surprise Arther and Mattie were there. "Kiku-san! I was just coming to return this to you."

As soon as his spell was cast, Kiku sighed in relief seeing that the hexes worked brilliantly. The library was as silent as it could be. Almost too silent, to be exact.
He expected, at anytime now for students to come pouring in with screeching books. Terrified, upset, angry. The screeching would stop once it stayed in the library for a few seconds, so no harm was done as long as they gave it back.
It was faint rumbling at first, as Kiku heard the backpacks of some of the students start to moan, shriek and sob. They scrambled through their packs and took out the shrieking book, before darting into the Library looking at Kiku, confused as hell when the moaning died down as they stepped into the library. "Ahah;;" Kiku apologized softly to the confused students as he gently urged them out of the Library, telling them that it'd soon get crowded with students with shrieking books. As he ushered them out of the library, he looked up and suddenly remembered upon seeing the figure..
..of perhaps the second biggest bookworm in all of Hogwarts. First, being himself of course. And upon remembering, Kiku instantly regretted ever thinking of doing this charm.
"....G-good eveningsdfg.....Headmaster." Slapping a hand to his mouth as he bit his tongue rather strongly, Kiku quickly averted his eyes from the other. Arthur Kirkland looked FURIOUS. His shoulders flinched violently when the other started, stopped to compose himself, and then continued in a slightly more...repressed manner.
"I-I can explain;;" He stammered, losing his own calm manner himself as his cheeks blushed bright red. "This was to confirm how many books the library was missing currently because as of late, there are too many empty shelves in here that must imply that some people are just leaving books around campus without returning the-"
Kiku was cut short however, when Matthew came tumbling into the Library with an armada of books. He looked absolutely winded, probably from not being very athletic like Kiku himself.....it made the Librarian feel worse. The confidence died pitifully with the dying screeching and moaning of Matthew's books as they cluttered around him, having their last wails before going dead silent again.
For a while, no one said anything. Everyone was probably waiting for the other to speak up to explain themselves. Arthur in the corner eyed Kiku, waiting for an explanation, Matthew looked winded, and Kiku himself.....didn't know wether to cry, die, or disappear on the spot. Or maybe all at once.
The silence was broken by the hero. Kiku's head snapped up at the newest addition, "Mr. Jones...." Kiku mumbled, watching the book resolve into silence as it touched his desk. He could still hear the echoes of the terrorizing books outside, but the Library was quiet as it could ever be. Kiku never noticed how quiet of an environment he lived in, until now.
"..As I was saying.." Kiku started softly, barely loud enough for the others to notice as he held Alfred's returned book closely to his chest hugging it. He swore the book whimpered at the uneasy atmosphere it's owner had created. "I don't know which exact books were taken out, but I've noticed a lot of empty space in the Library.....there was the possibility of students borrowing a lot of books..but then I found a few unreturned here and there in campus where....books are usually not left around..;;;" He mumbled the last part, eye twitching at the thought of where he had found those precious poor boo-...now was not the time to reminisce and get irritated over that. There were three confused, and one particularly agitated adults in this room.
".....So I decided to put a charm on all the books that came out of this room previously and have been out for more then..3 weeks. I also made sure that any books beyond a certain page limit, most likely thick textbooks and guides wouldn't be charmed, so I hexed them beforehand so it would take the charm and reduce it to neutrality......So in essence, the only books that would be wailing are the...leisure and rather thin textbooks...." He felt like he was only giving excuses to a poorly planned deal now. Meek and miserable, he squeaked a "I'm very very sorry," before grabbing his wand. "I'll fix the charm and take it off right away;;"

Matt sighed. Well at least he knew what had caused the screeching and his panic was starting to subside. It was only a spell to return old books. He chuckles.
"Don't worry so much Kiku, It was about time I returned these things. I am pretty sure a couple of them are over due from when I was a first year." He smiled widely at the Japanese man. "you should have come and talked to me, I could have helped you develop a less shocking way and a little less risky. "

Al glanced between Mattie and Arthur, then looked at Kiku. "Heh, I was already on my way here to return that when it started screeching." He shrugged, smiling reassuringly. "So I'm set. Either of you two have any books that need to be brought up here?" He folded his arms over the words on his black T-shirt as he looked at the other two blonds. "I could help you guys out."

Arthur took his time in trying to get that goddamned ringing in his ear - wincing as he felt a sudden pop go by his eardrums.
As he watched the scenario fold before him, he sighed and turned towards Alfred.
"No, unless you meant my whole bloody offic--- and would you wear something decent for once, for christ's sake?!" He pointed at the t-shirt that the American was wearing, his expression clearly twisting in distaste. It's not like it was difficult! Heck, even Arthur just wore a bit of a waistcoat and tie.
He turned back to the male, and sighed. He ran a hand through his hair. Arthur could sense the man's anxiety, which wouldn't really be helpful in making sense of things. He'd gathered enough, anyway. His arms folded.
"Well, could you at least care to tell me what sort of charm you placed on them or reverse it? I'll have to put up with the rest of the bloody portraits complaining at me all night." This had happened on occasion. And he'd really rather not have it happen again.

"I'm very, very sorry;;;" It relaxed Kiku quite a bit, seeing that Matthew and Alfred wasn't that bothered or absolutely smiting on his poor behalf. He waved his wand in the air, sending a gentle gust of wind throughout the Library and out the door, quietly turning the pages of some of the open books in the Library, signaling his anti-charm.
"The charm is time-based actually, putting something like that of an alarm clock on the books, that would be out of the Library more then a specific time...The original time limit was 3 weeks. I was able to cast the charm on ALL the books within Hogwarts that belong in the Library, and hexed only the ones in here....It shouldn't be a problem...I'm very sorry!" He squeezed in the last bit, before casting the anti-charm rather hurriedly, in hopes that all would be well again.

Al smiled and nodded. "Kay then I'll be-" he was turning around when he started to notice it, the buzzing in the air. He released his wand, but he barely had time to wrap his fingers around it before the magic struck him. Oh, oh no, this wasn't -
"Oof!" Al frowned as he fell back and landed hard. 'What the? Did my voice just get higher?' He looked up and spotted Arthur, but he looked taller than he should, and Al's t-shirt slid off one shoulder. Blinking he looked down at himself.
"Ehhhh!? What happeneded?" Al frowned. that hadn't come out right. did that mean that he no longer had any fine motor control along with shrinking?

Matthew blinked as the air shifted and his hair stood on end. The Canadian knew this feeling, it was raw and strangely cast Magic. He had more than once been caught in this when an experimental charm had gone wrong. In an instant he to look at Kiku and opened his mouth just as the wave of magic washed over him.
It was strange feeling, Matt considered as he felt his body shrink, and he could feel the edges of his mind becoming fuzzy. It was as if his mind was a tapestry and someone was slowly unravelling it. He could feel his memories slipping, even as he tried to hold on to them his thoughts slowing and dulling as he regressed.
It was a strange feeling almost like falling with everything that he was. He soon stopped worrying about the feeling as he hit the ground, and in an instant the only though in his head was the pain and how uncomfortable he was. Something strange was clinging to his face, he was tangled in a large something and he was suddenly very very unsure where he was. It wasn't that he knew where he had been before but he seemed to know it wasn't HERE.
It got worse when the child sat up, trying to untangle himself from the garments around his legs. It was then he realized that his mother was no where to be seen. The fluffy haired head swivelled this way and that, as if looking for a camera and upon finding none focused on his surroundings.
Looking around there only seemed to be strange men, and huge bookshelves. Somewhere in the background there was a frightful screaming. He didn't like how cold this place was and just how big. The feeling of this place was strange and oppressive and the little child of 4 did not like it.
So Matthew did the only sensible thing that a naked, trapped, child surrounded by loud sounds and strange faces could do.
He began to wail for his mother.

Matthew wasn't the only one to sense such a tingling feeling.
As soon as it had pricked up the hairs on his arms the Headmaster's eyes had widened considerably, and almost as though in reflex, a second instinct, he started to mutter words under his breath and his wand was flicked out.
As the shockwave passed by him, there was a noticeable shield effect against him. His counter-charm resisted back against it, but it was only when he'd felt it pass by did he drop it. His mouth opened and he was about to say something to the Librarian, before his attention was diverted to something else entirely.
...Was that?...
Before Arthur could lean down to inspect the former flying teacher, his gaze snapped up suddenly. It did take him a second or two to actually configure that that was Matthew, just an awful lot younger.
And when he started bawling...
"O-Oh!--" The Male exclaimed, having to step aside of the first child to suddenly scoop up the child, bundling up in the robes he'd just tried to climb out of previously. Matthew was placed on the desk in his teary state, Arthur quickly kneeling down as he came into contact with him.
Admist all the usual aloof, cold persona that Arthur was so well known for having, his eyes held a sudden softness in them.
"Shhhhhh, it's okay..."
He barely knew what was happening and exactly how things were going to go, but there were sudden priorities.
His hands held gently where the child's knees were, blinking at it softly, slowly.
"Shhhh.."

Dear god. What had he done.
The first thing that startled him, was the loud BANG that came out of the textbooks....with hexes on them. .............oh no. He watched in horror as a pink wisp of cloudy magic darted out of the pages, and melted into the shockwave that Kiku created with the anti-charm surrounding all four wizards. He opened his mouth to yell something out, when a rogue cloud darted into his mouth. Taken aback in surprise, he swallowed it whole before realizing what he had done. He felt the cracking of the hex explode in small puffs of smoke around his robes, burning into his clothes and burning his skin beneath. Kiku winced. He had far worse things to worry about though.
As soon as he had casted the spell, Kiku saw that the Headmaster had flicked out his own wand, and countered it against himself with admirable reflexes. He didn't have time to think further about that however, as the other two professors got hit full on and started to..rapidly shrink in front of his eyes.
He watched, as Alfred and Matthew shrunk into that of a small child, no older than children in their first years of elementary school.
The second thing that had startled him, was the sudden wailing from the latter Professor. Kiku's mind went blank with panic at the sudden crying, very different from the wailing of the books. He no longer heard screaming from outside, which meant the anti-charm had worked brilliantly. Thought it left something even WORSE behind.
He had screwed up BADLY. There was no way Kiku was going to get out of thi-
"O-Oh!--" The voice snapped the Japanese man back into reality as he watched the other adult male rush over to the crying child, and with one smooth swoop, pulled Matthew up gently into his arms. Kiku watched, eyes wide as Arthur brought Matthew to his desk, and sat him there. He couldn't help but sigh in comfort seeing that the other seemed unhurt...other then the obvious shrinkage.
Trusting Arthur with the crying child, Kiku hurried over to the other child who was thrown off his feet and kneeled down in front of him. "Are you alright?! Are you hurt anywhere?;;;" He pulled at his robes to pull them off, before unbuttoning his jacket and draping them over Alfred's shoulders remembering the cold temperature of the Library.

Al nodded vaguely even as he had a faintly confused look on his face. "Forgettin' thin's, though." Like why he was at Hogwarts again after he had graduated - or had he? The man who gave him the coat was familiar, but Al couldn't remember the name he KNEW that he should know... and Arthur looked to old, and was that Mattie as a five year-old crying?
Alfred's mind instantly latched onto that, and he quickly went around the desk, climbed onto the librarian's chair, and then onto the desk beside the crying boy. Did it matter? Al did notice, once he was on the desk, that he was a bit taller than Mattie's shrunken form, but suddenly, he didn't know why that mattered.
"Wha' happend? Who are you?"

Matt slowly calmed down, the older mans movements and touch helping considerably. When he could breath properly he began to hiccup, his big purple orbs staring up at the man, studying the face intently. Green eyes, a warm kind of smile, and fluffy eyebrows that looked like a pair of fuzzybears had climbed on his face. He reached out wondering if he had to glue them to his face or if they were trained like dogs. "Fwuzzybears!" he hiccuped, still upset but clinging to the silly things on the others face. A hand reached out and gripped the short hairs. He was about to resuce the Caterpillars when someone climbed up besides him and spoke.
Matthew, remembering his mothers speech on manners, jerked around immediately and swiftly pulled his hand away from the eyebrows, not even bothering to release his grip. He stared at the blue eyes that seemed to be just a bit above him. He held out his hand and managed a shaky, nervous smile. "Its a pweaswer to meet chu I am Matthew. How do chu do?"

There was a moment or two where Arthur was stood there, feeling the colour flush into his cheeks. Alright, so while he had a soft spot for children (not that he'd really admit to anyone -- anyone) It was always him that seemed to be reminded of the phrase 'don't work with animals or children'.
So while he was glad deep, deep, deep down that Matthew had finally stopped crying, it was clouded over by the fact that such a small child had mistaken his eyerbrows for some form of caterpillar and was currently latching ahold of them, trying to gather a feel of these things.
... It hurt, admittedly. Stung right down in the deep pits of his heart.
... Okay, maybe not as much as it was about to.
While Arthur had been blinking in confusion and embarassment during this, at the sound of the ripping, then the nerves finally jumping up and deciding to tell the man that this was one of the most painful things on earth in the form of "OWFUCKTHATBLOODY". Arthur's expression briefly contorted into that of comical pain, before he suddenly twisted away and hopped over to a corner nearby, a hand covering over the area. He rocked a little to himself and whimpered as he knelt down, but he'd rather much channel the pain in a way that wouldn't include swearing in front of the what now were children.
Under his breath, he muttered all the swearwords off the top of his head, and a few unknown to anyone human.
A few seconds later, Arthur sighed supressingly to himself and stood up stiffly, facing slightly away from the other adult male in the room. He did turn away however, his expression trying to read that he was perfectly calm, perfectly fine. Even with half an eyebrow ripped out.
The lone thing twitched in hinted annoyance.
".. So, how long is this going to last, then?"
He couldn't help but stare a little.

Kiku followed the little boy to the desk once more, as he, just in time, saw Matthew proclaim the Headmasters...fine brows as Fuzzy Bears.
SDLFJHSDGHSDKJFHLKSJDG- He clapped a hand to his mouth, shoulders trembling slightly at the view as an unexplainable surge of emotion came up from the pit of his stomach as adorableness enfolded before him. T-TOO M-MOE-!! He shouted in his mind, hoping to god that none of them noticed him-
-before Matthew proceeded to tear Arthur's eyebrows out in pure innocence. "........" He blinked, watching in shock as the Headmaster's face turned to that from relieved, shocked, then pained in the span of 3 seconds. By the time Kiku finished fluttering his eyes in surprise, Arthur Kirkland was in the corner of the room, curled into a little ball and killing his screams of agony and fury.
While the other took care of his famed features, Kiku hurried over to Matthew and Alfred, to be of some company. He hadn't noticed Arthur's hint of annoyance in his voice, specifically directed at Kiku himself anyway.. The man had his eyebrows pulled out just now. He was surely going to feel THAT in the morning. Trying not to stare back at him, or his now uneven eyebrow-...he really needed to get off that topic. SOON. Before he would explode into laughter.
"I uh....The hex was going to wear off in 48 hours...so I guess that's how long this is going to be in..place...I'msorry." He squeaked, apologetic, but unable to supress his welling desire to chuckle at the comedy routine that had taken place in front of him. The poor man..

The slightly larger boy giggled as the smaller one turned and pulled out that man's eyebrow. At the question, he grinned widely in his signature way.
"I'm Alfred! And I'm confuz-confuzzle-confused?" He reached out and took Mattie's offered hand and shook it, still grinning. "Who're you? I like your hair!" The American reached out with his free hand and petted the Canadian's hair softly. "It's really pretty, like my mom's!"

Matthew blinked at the other man who seemed to have been in pain but turns back when the other pats his head. He looks up at the other and looks amazed at his boldness. "I said Mattie!" He frowns "Its not pwetty, pwetty is for girls. Its SILKWY." he insisted at the obviously unintelligent boy. He glanced at the other man. He looked much different from the other. He looked like a mommy, and at that thought Matthews eyes welled with tears. Maman was not here, where was she? who were these people? He glanced around in a panic.

"Sorry, Mattie! I don' hear well sometimes." Al gave the smaller boy a truly apologetic look, still petting Mattie's silky hair. But then Al noticed how the Canadian's eyes welled up with tears, and he felt even worse.
"Mattie? Don' cry Mattie. Please?" He liked the little boy, and didn't like seeing those tear-filled eyes. His mind scrambled for something to make the smaller boy feel better. It took a moment, but he finally thought of his mom and how she'd always kiss him to make him feel better.
Al leaned over and kissed Mattie's cheek.
