In the midst of this, Arthur had just resorted to gazing off somewhere past where the two children were currently situated, thinking. His eyebrows contorted into a very odd formation, half of the area around his head now turning into a bright red. It was beginning to make his eyes water by now, but he ignored it.
After he let the whole scenario dawn on him, the male let out a sigh.
He turned to Kiku.
"You have tea, I hope?"
It was the only way he was going to hold out this situation. And distract himself from the pain.
Arthur had to remind himself not to move his eyebrows so much.

Kiku resumed to the meter radius of distance between himself and the sniffling children. There were adorable, yes. Frightfully adorable. And Alfred had just kissed Matth-jkgdfhkjdfh. Where was his camera when he needed it.
Right, it was a muggle device, and it needed a computer, so he didn't bring it. Damnation. His mind left the other adult momentarily as he fawned over the children.
From a distance of course. Kiku's head turned at the mention of tea. Right, tea. Tea was needed in stressful situations like these. Finding Arthur's request for tea somewhat comically stereotypical for a man of his kind, Kiku nodded slightly.
And the children seemed well on their own as of now. "I believe I do." Kiku nodded once towards the Headmaster before keeping a mental note to himself to bring sweets to the children.

Matt sniffled and quieted at the kiss, but he didn't say anything. Instead he curled up and hugged his knees, burying his face into his knees.
For a few minutes he sat, his mind racing over the questions of the universe, at least the ones a four year old considered. He pondered the difficult and distressing questions like : Where is Mommy? Whose going to feed me? and the ever important who is going to tuck mister bun bun in tonight If I am not there? Mommy can't do that!
Finally Matt felt ready to speak and looked up at the other boy. He tried to speak but he couldn't find the right words. Instead he scooted closer and wrapped his arms around the older looking boy. He was trembling and worried and sniffled
"W-wheres Mommy?"

The American noticed how the smaller boy quieted and mentally patted his back. He did it! Awesome! He gave a firm nod of his head and decided that it was his job to make sure that the smaller boy was okay.
When Mattie finally looked up and asked that question, Al screwed up his face in thought. "Well, I don't know about your Mom, but mine said she was going to go out and that she'd bring me to a nice man's house so he could look after me." Al smiled at the younger boy. "Maybe your mom brought you here too?"
Al knew it was a lame guess, and even though he most recent memory was getting in the car to go to Robert's, this wasn't Robert's. Still, he didn't want to panic the smaller boy, and the two men seemed very kind.

Arthur nodded.
"Then if you would be so kind to as bring me some, I would appreciate it." Eyeing the children, the male quickly brushed his hair over his eyebrow so it would be covered, and he soon approached the children.
He kneeled down again, sighing as he hopefully would avoid his eyebrows being made fun of. His eyes watched them for a few moments, eyeing the two boys for a moment.
He tried with simple steps.
"And may I ask who you are?" He remarked in a more polite, kind tone than anything. He did need to find out whether they could remember anything.

"I'll be on it immediately." Kiku excused himself to his office while grabbing a silver platter and filling it with Japanese sweets. He called upon a house elf, asking him politely to bring chocolate frogs, cauldron cakes, and pumpkin juice for the children. He didn't know if the kids would like his homeland's candies as they weren't really sweet. He brewed tea, quietly, almost forgetting about the chaos that had happened outside. Drinking tea was relaxing, but making tea was even more soothing to his already slightly tired nerves.
But if I'm slightly tired by what just happened, the poor adult outside must be having the time of his life by what happened to him. Kiku sighed, tossing the tea leaves in the filter wire, before thanking the elf with a few sickles, seeing her get all awkward at his bowing, and dash away embarrassed. Kiku couldn't help but chuckle. Even the house elves here were awkwarded out by him.
Returning with a small tea set, and Japanese sweets and wizarding-world candies on a platter on side, Kiku soundlessly lowered the tray on the table. "If you want, I brought sweets.." He motioned to the two children, before pouring tea into the cups.
"I'm sorry that I caused more trouble then necessary, Headmaster.."

Matt looked at Al, then at Arthur. "M-momma would tell me though." he muttered. He wanted to say something more but the caterpillar man was coming over. He reached out to him, wanting adult contact of any kind.
"M-My names Matt siw." he said, making graby hands at him. " Do you know where is mommy?"
Matt was proud of his ability to speak, his mother always praised him for his ability to talk, saying he was so smart for his age, and except for the habit of making certain sounds into w's he was so clear. Matthew didn't know what that meant but he knew his mother liked when he was polite and spoke well.
Wait... what was he talking about?
Oh yes the man had asked his name. So he should ask him his shouldn't he?
That WAS what Matthew was going to do except the Mommy Man came in with candy. The small Amethyst eyes lit up and immediately the grabby hands changed to the food as his stomach grumbled.
"Candwy!"

Al nodded and turned to the man at the same time as Mattie, only, he managed to have enough self-control not to pounce on the food when it showed up. "I'm Alfred! Most adolls call me Al. This is Mattie." Al picked up a cauldron cake and started nibbling it, looking between the two adults.
"You two look familiar, I don't think I've seen you before, though." Al said to Arthur before watching Mattie and watching for the chocolate frogs to come out.

Arthur instantly moved to the tea, and within moments of daintily picking it up, the male sipped it. The black warm liquid reaching and flowing down his throat was one of the most satisfying feelings, and it really did help to calm and clear his head.
As his eyes opened as he looked at the two again, Arthur sighed. He placed the cup down, and took a few steps forward towards the younger child.
He leant down.
"... Mummy will be here soon. Don't you worry about that." He'd reached out and gently held some of the sweets that the Librarian had brought in towards Matthew.
"Now, what's the magic word?"

Kiku naturally resumed to his distance between the Headmaster and the two children, holding the tea cup with both of his hands. He sipped it, watching Arthur handle the children as if he had children himself...it wouldn't be that strange to have kids at his age, did it?....The duties of a Headmaster seemed to be hectic though..did he really have children? He seemed like he LOVED kids though.
It's like looking at a mother cat and her two babies. Kiku thought blankly before deciding never to reveal what he just thought. He didn't notice however, that presently, his facial structure was soft, and his usually tight lip stretched into a straight line softened, into a gentle smile. "Magic word.." He whispered, unfamiliar with the metaphor the other had used. Parental duties were very soft and lenient in the West compared to that of the East, it seemed. He recalled never calling his parents anything other then Father and Mother. He didn't remember much physical contact with them either, save being held once in a blue moon.
But just because he wasn't doted upon like the others didn't mean he didn't have to act the same way his parents did to him. Kiku edged uncomfortably towards the three, setting his teacup down on his plate on the table.

Matthew blinked still stretching his plump hands towards the sweets. His eyes were begging, wanting the sweet candy. With the Mans assurance of his mommy coming soon he was now much more concerned with filling his belly. The food looked tasty and he wanted something to suck on. "Please Mwister Fuzzybwears?" he said, turning his face towards the other. "I will be good until Mommy awives. " He leaned forward a little to much, stretching until he felt the world tumble out from under him and he was falling

Al squeaked and moved to grab the smaller boy. He didn't hesitate in the slightest, just jumped forward and wrapped his arms around Mattie's waist and tried to get Mattie above him. "Mattie!" The cauldron cake Al had been eating fell to the desk, bounced, and fell to the floor.
The young American wasn't sure why he acted so quickly with such conviction, only that something in him said that Mattie was special, and couldn't be hurt.

Of course, Arthur's eyes had widened at the situation before him, having already stooped down to grab ahold of the Canadian.
However, he wasn't expecting the prospect of two small children falling on him.
With a small 'oof!' sound the Brit now was sprawled out on the library floor, gazing up a little dumbfoundedly. His vision caught the eyes of the Japanese man, and he sighed as his arms held out and he made sure the children didn't roll off his stomach and chest.
Arthur's expression remained unreadable for the best of a few seconds, before it shifted.
He started to chuckle.

The next few moments were like a slideshow at the speed of lightning. He caught every wobbly step that the two children took as they fell to the floor, towards the Headmaster. Kiku had his hands up to his mouth, frozen out of fear. The three then just sort of flumped backwards into the ground as he stared at them, dumbfounded of what just happened.
Had the other man not been there....he didn't even want to imagine what would've happened then. He watched as the other noticed his gaze, and then after a few moments..
....broke out into a chuckle. The laughter melted the frozen solid fear in his heart, somehow. Kiku dropped his shoulders finally, with a sigh of comfort. Thank goodness. He became animated once more as bending down on one knee and gently picking up Matthew from the top of the dogpile into his arms, before the other would fully become aware of what happened and start crying out of surprise, and for Alfred to be able to move around once more without a smaller body on top of him. "..Thank goodness you were there."
Without the need to force himself, he smiled.

Matthew indeed had no time to cry, instead finding himself rather confused as to how he wound up in the Mommy mans arms but he didn't care instead cuddling against the other.
"Cwandy?" he muttered "Can I halfs candy?" He turned puppy dog eyes up at the other. "I will be vewy good."

Al smiled, glad to see Mattie okay, then scrambled off of Arthur. "Sorry sir. Thank you for catching us!"
The American boy spotted the fallen cauldron cake, picked it up, then set it off to the side before going back onto the desk and holding out a clean one. "Here you go, Mattie. These are really good." Al smiled widely.

Arthur had blinked in mild shock at the sudden sound of such polite manners, having to sit up and blink a little bemusedly in the younger boy's direction. Now he thought about it, Arthur would've only have been ten years old at the time he was this age now, roughly.
Ugh, but where did his manners go as a child? He couldn't help but think to himself, before pulling himself slowly on his feet.
He glanced towards Kiku, blinking a little. Well, at least the child was off his hands for a moment...
He picked up his cup of tea.

The child felt very small and warm in his arms. The comfort eased him...since when did comfort around others ease him? Strange.
"I don't think that standing on a table is a good idea;;" Kiku dragged a large chair with arm rests over, before setting Matthew down on it, in front of the table. Only when he had seen the two children finally go back to their food, he sighed in relief.
Alfred seemed very good at taking care of others and himself..it reminded Kiku of the Flying Professor as an adult and his tendency to care for Matthew, and chuckled inwardly at the thought that even as children, he always had his eye on the other, tending to him.
Kiku began thinking about his own childhood..before pushing it away. It wasn't the best of his memories, or was it interesting. He checked them over worriedly one last time before stepping back to his usual place of a few steps away. A few steps of distance.

Matt took the food with a quiet thank you and began to eat, looking now around at the others. Mommyman moved to sit and he happily moved with him, munching on the snack.
Matthew wasn't sure what to think but he was past the point of caring, he was warm now against the other mans chest, his stomach was being filled and he was safe for the time being. Now he just watched the other two intently, wondering why fuzzybearman was missing part of his fuzzybear. He stared.

The bigger boy sat down, then took one of the chocolate frog boxes. He had a talent for snatching the frogs, something that always amused his father. He grinned, cracked open the box just enough to get his fingers in, grabbed the chocolate, and shoved the whole struggling thing into his mouth. The frog kicked weakly as it melted and suffused in the warm, moist cavern.
"Mmm mm mm." Al glanced at the Englishman, the little boy thinking of his father and how this Arthur was a bit like him. Honestly, the American boy was half-expecting to be teased like his father would tease him like his father would. It was a bit strange that he hadn't.
