Al couldn't help but think that it was weird to be doing this. Oh, not the going to Mattie's office - that was normal - but the reason was strange.
The dreams had started a week ago, after Mattie revealed the poem to him. They started off exactly like the last time he had visited Mattie in Canada - a pleasant chat over tea. It took a turn though, one Al hadn't remembered before...
"No stories?" Al finished off his milk and tilted his head. "You're usually full of them about your teachers and your last adventure." He smiled charmingly. "Heck, You haven't even told me anything about your boyfriend besides 'Being good'. Tell me more." Matt shivers. "W-well." he seemed afriad. "well lately he has been very... helpful. He convinced me to stop my silly studies into the Natives." He glances around making sure the other wasn't there. "WHAT? But you loved it! And you'd never call them 'silly' before!"
Al shivered as he remembered it. They continued talking - Mattie showing him a tattoo that writhed with hatred in Al's dream, and eventually dragging him outside to show him more. The walk to the clearing was silent and ended abruptly as Mattie collapsed in pain, but Al had realized that he knew, absolutely KNEW that he had known about the abuse before Mattie had told him this year.
And he had been forced to forget, somehow. Al set his jaw, remembering the talking Beaver at the end of the visit. Al had always wondered how the visit had turned from tea to that scene in the clearing. It was time he asked.
He fingered the small purple stone he had fetched for Gringrotts, wondering what it's significance was. Well, that was one of the questions he had for Beaver.
He poke his head into Mattie's office. "Hey Mattie."

The beaver looked up from his place on the rug
"Not here." he grunted and curled up.

Al sighed in relief. "Just as well. I wanted to talk to you, anyway." He sat down on the rug beside the albino creature, and pulled out the stone. "The day I got this, something happened. All my instincts have been screaming that those events... They're the key to getting that curse off Mattie."

The beaver sighed. "Intresting." he muttered. "Throw it in the fire."

Al stared, then shook his head slowly. "I did eventually figure out that it was proof of a connection between myself and Mattie. I'm not going to throw something that precious into a fire without a reason." He frowned.
"A good one."

The beaver sighs "Because if you DO the one spell that you and Matt share will dissapate." The beaver flapped his tail and curled tighter. "Though I am sure you will need some explanation as to Why Matt even put the spell on you in the first place. "

Al hesitated, then looked the beaver in the eyes, he had a feeling he knew what charm it was. He paused, then shrugged. "Not really. I mean... just from how my memories of that day are now, I know which charm he used. He likely did it so Jesse couldn't get what happened out of him." Al shrugged, shifted his gaze to the stone sadly, then tossed it into the fire.

The beaver chuckles. "No... There was another reason, but you will find out in just a second." he watched as the stone burned and incinerated in the flames.
The memories would hit Al at full force, along with the thoughts and feelings of matt.
'God I miss him sonetimes' as the two talk
'Can't tell him about the beatings' as the man mentions abuse
'Got to tell him about the poem... how I feel.' as he breaths
'God help him of he ever remembers. I love him' as he raises his wand and says the last part with his mind and heart.

Al's breath left him as he felt the force of Mattie's love. It was warmth, comfort, and bittersweet in the face of the Canadian's curse. It was also intensely familiar. Al felt every time he thought of the slender blond. He smiled slightly, glad to have a name for it, then gulped.
"I got to get the rest - Have to help him." He shifted to stand, then glanced back to Beaver. "Thanks"

Al nodded firmly. "He means too much too me not to." He got up and ran to his rooms, Mattie's words before casting the memory charm echoing in his head. 'Then listen very closely Al... I have to do this fast. The first -AGH - The first part is in Hogwarts in your bed. DON'T ask how I knew where you lived. Its there. The next is - gha - In My book of shadows, the third - The third is in Ravenclaw tower guarded by the stone badger we magicked there sixth year. The last is that I am going to be erasing both our memories and I love you.'
He searched the frame first, hoping that one of the decorative carvings hide the bit of poetic prophecy he was searching for.

Sure enough he finds it, a yellowing piece of paper that when he opens it has the next line of poetry. ' Speak to the Totem who guides your path, When the lost soul learns his shape, Mourn his love and surrender him to his fate. Neither Man nor wolf the person be .'

Al scratched his head. "This is definitely all Arthur's to decipher." He stood, then smiled faintly to himself. "Go to him now or get them all? Hmmm...." Al placed the sheet on his night table, then headed back to Mattie's office. "Shoulda gotten this one first."
He entered. "Hi beaver. Do you know wear his book of Shadows is?"

Al grunted in acknowledgment, and dug the book out. He flipped through it to find the next bit, Grabbing a quill and parchment too.

Al copied it down, then buried the book. "Thanks again!" He jogged out of the office and towards Ravenclaw tower. He paused though. He didn't know how to get to the note...
"I'll talk Arthur into getting that one." Al nodded to himself, then headed down to the unicorn statue guarding Arthur's offic. He said the password.
The unicorn didn't move. Al frowned and said it again. The unicorn still didn't budge.
"Dammit! I have something important for Arthur!"
