Country: Nihon
Name: Kiku Honda
Age: 23 (AU age)
Personality:Xenophobic and introverted, Kiku Honda is a quiet boy with polite mannerisms to the public eye. He keeps a thick wall between his public and private life, his private life being an extreme fictionist having an almost unhealthy tendency to obsess over trivial incidents he deems to call "moe".
Regardless of being seen as a mellow man, Kiku in reality is highly vengeful and short tempered. He however hides it expertly by telling himself that this is simply what "outsiders" do, and that this is not his homeland.
Hungry for knowledge and the 'slightly' troublesome, yet stimulating life of living around strangers, Kiku took up the faculty position of the Librarian. He enjoys the spectators position more then being friendly and close-up with everyone else, the reason why he would always keep to himself in the Library or his own office instead of being interactive with the other members of Hogwarts. The secluded life of the Librarian was also the only faculty position he accepted due to his personality. During his spare time on school days, Kiku can be found shelving books with his assistants, writing novels in his office if he isn't given any particular task to do by the other members of faculty, or hiding in the restricted library and reading. He doesn't attend most minor school assemblies if he doesn't have to and declines offers to stroll around the grounds or the hallways if asked. He does enjoy company and having good conversations though. Just not most of the time.
Upon the topic of feelings and emotions Kiku is hardly close to emotionless, although his dead gaze speaks otherwise. He finds 'spazzing out' or losing his calm very unmannered, though watching others panic entertains him (not in a sadistic way). He enjoys reading the atmosphere and replying in an entourage of vague vocabulary in order to prevent people from reading him. The reasons behind him being so secretive is actually because he's very shy and lacking experience in being honest and people-friendly.

However, during the Edo Period, Nihon closed its contact with the outside world and went into seclusion for a good 200 years due to military and religious views. However, it's age of isolation ended when Commodore Matthew Perry of the U.S. Navy arrived into the bay of Edo with 4 warships. Japan once again flourished with western trade and Globalized with astounding efficiency. Today, Japan is one of the most globalized nations of the world.
Class they teach: LIBRARIAN
House when they were a student: Ravenclaw
Blood Type: Pureblood
Anything Else?:
Wand: 12.5" Yew, Dragon Heartstring
Writing Sample:Upon rethinking his past actions, Kiku came to conclusion that he was very easy to manipulate. His right hand slowly turned into a ball, crinkling the fragile parchment that explained his enrollment as a faculty member of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It almost feels like a dream. Kiku sighed, looking down at his paper once more. "I never thought that I would ever go back to that school again..." The past few weeks had been nothing but troublesome. Suddenly getting this paper through a nostalgic barn owl. Packing. Finding his old wand he had neglected since graduation. He thought he had left behind the magical world for the modern technology of muggles, save his old habit of keeping in touch with their political and historical moments.
They're probably trying to keep me in a place where they can watch me. It was probably because the last novel I wrote was dangerously close to sounding like that world. Jesus, its not like people BELIEVE that cars can be enchanted to fly, or animals can talk given the right amount of years for them to live. Kiku sighed. Adding the fact that Japanese people actually prefer the cyber-technological world instead of this fantasy-like world....They won't believe a cent of it....outwardly.
He didn't really mind going back to Hogwarts though. It was strangely captivating, and certainly more stimulating then the current life he had back home. Writing novels. Occasionally documents and articles for fast cash. He had chosen that path of being a writer, but deep inside, he missed the unexpected enigma and adventure Hogwarts gave him in his youth.
I better read some of those old books to catch up with spells;; What was it? Wingardium Levioosah? Kiku scrambled through his leather shoulder-bag as the enchanted train continued its way through the breath-taking nature surrounding the magical school.
