Matthew had to admit that he was never the most rebellious of students when he was a child. He had never fought, or cast inappropriate magic, or even so much as teased a house elf. The only thing he HAD done, and many times, was slip into the forbidden forest to search for components for his charms. It was always best if you used fresh things as a token for the spell and Hogwart's forest had plenty, weather the area was forbidden or not.
Matt paused and breathed, letting his natural affinity for such places sooth him. Tonight he was not here to plant search, though he knew a place where he could get some moon blossoming flowers, but rather to calm his mind. To many images, burnt in his mind even after half a year. Images of the other standing over him wand pointed making his pain so near to pl-
Matt stopped that thought right there. Instead he focused on the cool night air and fog, the smell of damp earth and the creak of trees.

Some way into the forest, there was a form of battle going on.
Alright, Arthur didn't know how he had gotten into this. He'd heard some disturbance from the gameskeeper and a few members of staff. Not to mention, there had to be a reason those thestrals had flown out so suddenly the other day.
So Arthur had gone investigating - late at night, so the students wouldn't go around wandering - and had resorted to shifting form. Only a few people really knew of his animagus form -- he was registered, yes, but he'd rather not let the others know about his form because it's more useful for things when people didn't know about it than when people did. It was much easier to move through the forest this way.
Not to mention, it's not like it was their business in the first place!
At this moment in time, he'd fun into what was really the source of the problem. It wouldn't be a problem for him - he'd probably manage to get out of it with a few scrapes and bruises, at most.
As long as someone didn't interfere, that was..

Matt moved towards the middle of the forest as he hears sounds in the forest. He pauses and worried it would be a student he moved towards it, softly treading so the movement wouldn't stop. He moved closer and could she a unicorn.
What was that it was fighting?

The creatures themselves seemed to nestle in the looming trees above, their shrieks and calls ripping through and prickling adrenaline into any warm-blooded creature that would have the mistfortune to hear it.
There were about half a dozen of them. And one of them at the moment was swooping down towards the unicorn, this ugly big black thing that had wings nearly double the length of the creature it was attacking. The horse-like creature itself didn't hesitate to fight back. In fact, it was really quite violent and stubborn. It's hoof pawed at the ground and it snarled as the .. creature flapped back up to the trees.
Of course, the next thing the Canadian would know of anything anyway was that the unicorn had somewhat skidded to a halt in front of the make, one of those huge birds now attempting to claw at the horse rather than grab Matthew up and fly him off to god knows where.
A few seconds of desperate screeching and unnerved neighing emitting from the mythical creatures, before the creature flew off again with a frustrated cry and the Unicorn turned and reared it's head to face the human suddenly, it's green eyes flickering back to where it was sitting. It treaded at the ground, urgently.
There was a slash on it's side.
WHAT THE HELL MATTHEW ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU'LL GET YOURSELF BLOODY KILLED
.. Good thing Arthur couldn't form human speech at this time, then.
But they needed to escape. And now.

Matthew was quick to Act, he pulled his wand and shouted a spell lost in the sounds of battle. He would not let a unicorn be harmed by these things. He moves forward, not aiming as he shouts off spells, trying to drive the creatures back.
In the back of his mind, behind the angry rage that filled him at the sight of a harmed unicorn, a small part of him whispered about danger. He had never seen such creatures in the forest, and most definitely didn't know what they were, but the small voice was pushed aside as the Brave Hufflepuff decided very quickly (and stupidly ) that one unicorn was worth him getting eviscerated.

The Brit took a few more moments to halt at utter shock at that, just dumbly watching the Canadian seemingly march to his own impending doom. Frankly, Arthur couldn't comprehend how foolish one of his own staff members was being.
One of the creatures hovering above took that precise moment to hurtle down at the ground towards the man. It's sharp claws extended, sharper than any razors that any man could create..
Before Matthew would have the chance to be hacked down while in his own adrenaline induced terror, the unicorn had launched itself forward and with some intense precision, grace and just amazing luck his head bowed down and Matthew was carried off by the back of his hood, the only mark recieved by this was the nick of his mane as the creature flew back up, crying out in frustration.
The creature didn't stop, cantering on through the trees without much of a trip - even with an adult body lingering in front of his vision - before he screeched to a bit of a halt, bowed his head gently and let the male back on the forest ground floor. It wasn't long before the side of the creature nudged against Matthew, throwing his head back as through motioning to it.
He wanted him to get on.

Matt was stunned but understood, coming close to the other. Well, he thought as he climbed on the Animals back, I know the rumour about virgins isn't true. He groans as he heaves himself up. He was light, far too light, Iggy would notice. His fingers just too skinny. He would lean against the horses neck and wait

There was a grunt from the unicorn. It sounded more like a disatisfied sound, but after gathering it's bearings, the creature's hooves set on again and they traveled through the forest. That gash really quite stung, if he had to admit...
It took a mere few minutes before they finally came to the clearing at the edge of the forest, but the unicorn didn't stop. Instead, it carried on right until it reached the front doors towards the main hogwarts building.
This is where it slowed down and eventually stopped, snorting and clacking a hoof against the ground as if to make it's statement to get off.
It eyed the adult.

Matt get off, quickly before turning to the unicorn. "T-thank you." he says "I am not worthy of such help." he turns his eyes down and shifts. "So thank you. Be careful." he turns to go.

Before Matthew could turn and the unicorn would be completely out Matthew's view, something strange happened.
The Unicorn appeared to suddenly shrink, and before Matthew would know it Arthur had grabbed at the back of his robes, his expression a mixture of that of pain, confusion and maybe just being ever so slightly peeved off.
"... A-Ahhold on, you blithering fool." He muttered. He could feel the blood sticking to the back of his robes. Probably just quite a nasty nick.
There was a bit of a bruise on his eye - and was that a burst lip? - and Arthur just sort of stared.
"... What the hell were you doing there?"
Bit deep for a nighttime wander.

Matt blinked and after his brain quit on him and gave two weeks notice at the fact that his BOSS had just turned out to be a UNICORN Animagus, had gone into negotiations for a pay raise and taken his eyes to Metaphysical court for scamming him, finally Matt could think enough to say the least relevant thing to his boss he had ever said.
"Y-you make a very pretty unicorn Arthur." he says "And I got to ride you... thats a dream come true."

There was a small pause at that, before he looked down. There was a suitable amount of colour now blemishing his cheeks, but he seemed to ignore it. His wand flicked out, and he materialised a hankerchief to dab at the burst lip and hopefully get rid of some of the blood.
"..W-Well, thank you..."
He murmered something relatively dark under his breath, before he suddenly winced and reached an arm to test what the wound of his shoulder blade was.
By the sudden way the male emitted quite a abrupt gasp and shot his arm back told him it couldn't be good. But he ignored it, shrugged and acted like everything was normal - well, as normal he could get.
He turned towards the door, unclicked and he started to walk inside, with ahold of Matthew's wrist.
Well, he supposed he ought to explain some things.
But first, he needed to get that gash sorted out. And damnit, this was one of his best robes..

Matt was pulled behind him and noticed the blood for the first time. "Headmaster w-we should get you sorted out." he says trying to tug the other in the way of the Nurses office.

Arthur pulled himself in the opposite direction, but soon stopped himself. That was really quite childish.
He muttered again, gave one more glance at those eyes and sighed, defeatedly.
".. Fine. quickly."
He didn't like going down there in case some of the students there woke up. It wasn't a good idea to see the headmaster injured. Wasn't good for morale.
"But I'm fine, it's you who needs looking at."
In the bloody head.

Matt blinked as he turned and led the other. "N-no I am fine thanks to you helping me. " He turns "Thanks, They would have gotten me. It would have been quiet the bother for you to find a new Charms master this year. I would have hate to impose. "
The weird thing is he sounded serious about this statement.

Arthur rolled his eyes.
"Don't be ridiculous. Come on."
They entered the silent hall of the Hospital Wing, muttering as the nurse hurried up to them for a few moments. In cases like this where Arthur was still walking/conscious/complaining he'd rather just get the advice/supplies from the nurse and heal himself, rather than someone make a fuss around him.
He'd never liked people treating to him like that. Not to mention, he'd rather be in and out as soon as possible.
The nurse returned a few moments later and handed him something, before Arthur just nodded at Matthew as if in permission to follow him back to his office, presumably.
Well, Arthur couldn't let anyone know about this, could he? Only a few others knew, and even then, that was purely by accident too..

Matt followed behind him. It was just now sinking into his mind that the other had proven himself to be an Animagus and a good one at that. Matt had always wondered about those who could call themselves Animagus, they were rare but in Europe but almost ever Native shaman in the Americas had the power to be one. Matt himself had watched a number of them change before him and prior to the end of his research had considered asking for permission to study it.
