The Defence Against the Dark Arts (DADA) room is located on the first floor. From the room itself, it is fairly spacious, making it a lot easier to teach the class—that would include the tables, desks, and other various necessities for learning the subject. The special thing about the DADA room is that the office and quarters of the professor is connected via a staircase to the far side of the room, leading up to the second floor.
When the class calls for it, then there would be creatures brought into the class to have a more practical learning experience; which only applies to students in the third through to seventh years.
To be helpful to students who would soon be taking O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s, fourth and sixth year students will be able to spend the final quarter[/b] to study and prepare for the testing for the next year.
