Matt chuckled as he slowly ate the spicy foods, drinking his tea after every bite or so. "Perhaps she is bored. I know Beaver often gets lonely. " He said referring to the totem animal he had picked up in his travels in Canada.

Al sighed as he stepped out of his office. He was starving, but didn't feel like eating in the great hall. As he walked around the Castle to the main entrance, he spotted a group of people near the lake. Lupe, Mattie, and Miss Holub talking peacefully around a picnic blanket.
The American's eyebrows raised. He looked around then grinned widely. Oooh, lunch and the outdoors! He started towards them. "Hey all!"

Before the American would have the chance to take another step further, a large weight would have thrown itself against his back, making both him and the figure on top go flying forward, tumbling a little down the small hill leading towards the lake and trees.
A moment later and Alfred wouldn't have that much to make sense of, apart from the Headmaster having leapt up nearly instantly, running forward and flailing and blinding towards the sky ....
At well, nothing.
"... BLOODY THRESTRALS!"
He spent a few more moments shouting towards the sky, his eyes actually following something in the air, before he eventually muttered and scowled to himself. He turned around, hastily brushing some of the grass from his robes. His eyes met Alfred, and he huffily looked away again, cheeks coloured from either the sudden tumble they both took or embarassment.
"... You could have got r-ruddy killed, you prick."
... To be honest, he'd forgotten that not many people could see them.

Al let out a (manly) yell as he was sent for a tumble. He groaned as he came to a stop, then blinked up at Kirkland.
"Ugh. Aren't Threstrals one of those creatures that have a requirement to be seen? So it'd've been the rider's fault." He sat up and stretched. "I'm fine, didn't even hit my head."

Arthur rolled his eyes, before stepping forward a little as he almost shyly held his hand out to the male.
"... They don't need riders just one decided to have a wander out of the forbidden forest -- and g-get up already!" He muttered, glancing over in the direction of the forest quickly.
"... And yes, they do. And I'm sorry for shoving you over in such haste, but otherwise it would have taken your head off."
He seemed rather keen on not holding much conversation with the man, but it only looked like he was being quite shy. Arthur hadn't even expected to have ran into someone. All he remembered was that thing nearly bonking his own head off, then when he watched it and noticed it wasn't flying any higher then he had to run in and send Alfred himself flying in a way slightly different to what he was used to.
Arthur made a mental note to have quite a stern word with the gameskeeper, before he looked at the blue-eyed boy. He himself should really be in the Great Hall for lunch, but most of the students and staff members had disappeared outside. As much as the ghosts were nice to talk to, it was kind of lonely.
... Not that he'd ever say that, of course..

Al's brows furrowed. "Not much sense in that. Most of the creatures in there wouldn't come out without reason." He took Arthur's hand and smiled. "Thanks, then."
He didn't use the Headmaster's hand to help himself up, aware that he'd be the heavier one and might pull the other down. Once he was on his own feet, he looked back to the picnicking ladies and Mattie. "What'll happen if another comes out?"

Lupe grinned at the memory of the the sly monstrous plant who tricked many a student who dared to speak ill of her precious master.
"Oh, Lesya, take it easy on on the poor thing. Most of the time she does it is because she's trying to protect you.....it is a she, right?"
She lifted the cup of coffee to her lips and sipped, pausing when she head Alfred in the distance. She turned and saw the blond approaching.
"Hey Alfred!" Lupe shouted back and lifted her hand to wave back.
But her hand froze mid-wave. The astrology professor watched in fascination, and some fright, as Hogwarts' Headmaster collided with the Flying teacher. Of course, she was far too busy watching the Threstral Aurthur was chasing down fly higher into the sky.
Sangre had only seen the flying creatures a few times since her time her at the magical school. Even up to her days now, she was always so entranced by their appearance to do anything but gaze from afar.
As she continued to stare into what looked like to many just a normal blue sky, the Mexican didn't even notice when her coffee began to slowly drip onto her skirt.

"Well if she's board then, oh maybe I'm not giving her enough attention" She took a sip of her tea and thought for a moment, Lily had seemed a little more clingy than usual. " Yes Lupe Lily is a girl and well i guess you might be right, but i wish she would go about it in a different way, i swear she's got some of the students completely terrified of her" Lesya absolutely detested the thought of any of her students being terrified of one of her plants.
She let out another sigh and was about to resume eating her chile when she heard Alfred call out to them. She then saw the headmaster tackle the blond to the ground cringing at the though of how much that must have hurt. She glanced over at Lupe who was staring of into the empty sky her hand still in mid air, completely unaware of her surroundings.
"Oh My Gosh Lupe your Coffee!!!" she saw the coffee begin spill from Lupe's cup and onto her lap, but unfortunately she was too late to stop it.

Matt had turned at Al's yell and raised his hand only to See the headmaster tackle him. The blonds eyes widen as he too sees the Threstral fly past Al's head. He is less shocked by the animal as he is the flying Tackle the head master performs. When he turns back he tsks lightly and takes Lupe hand and gently tries to stop the pouring. A muttered charm to dry the cloth and a "Lupe, Are you okay?"

Lupe sighed as she gazed upon the creature, always admiring it's strange features when she could. She would have to do some research later on the thing.... Her brown eyes blinked. Something felt hot....Really hot!
Her body jolted, too late to stop the coffee from burning her skin beneath her skirt.
"Hijo de la -!!!" She stood immediately up, her arms nearly flailing at her sides.
Lupe was greatly thankful when the coffee was cleaned up, but the sting of the hot drink remained. She had now completely forgotten of the fascinating Threstral, now focused on the pain on her thigh. She felt sudden tears from the pain rise up. She bite them back and reached for her wand with amazing reflects. She remembered a small spell in the back of her mind from her childhood for a probleme like this. She lifted her skirt just a bit annd pointed her wand. A tiny spark of green light flew out, surrounding the burn mark.
The Mexican sighed with relief, the reddness dying along with the pain. She sank to the quilt before realizing she had made a specticle of herself...again...
"P-perdone a me...Sorry..." It was her face that now burned, and in the back of her mind, Lupe couldn't help but think this had happened before....

Arthur shrugged.
"I'll kick it's arse. Then the gameskeeper. They've probably been frightened or been sent wandering by something out in the open grounds. Not that many people at all can see them, but it wouldn't be good for someone to walk into them."
He dusted himself down, before he glanced at Alfred for a few moments. He quickly looked away.
"... You can't see them, can you?"
He didn't think he could. Alfred was still pretty young. ... By two years.
Pah.
He looked to the other teachers sitting about, gave them a nod and sighed.
He should probably get off attending to the grounds and checking over things..

Al chuckled at Arthur's answer. It would be crazy for two of them to come out in the same day, and the image of Arthur going insane on the gameskeeper and something invisible was highly amusing.
The question brought him out of his imagination. "Huh? Uh, you're right. I can't see them. Never had whatever the requirement is filled." Al shrugged, them looked back to the picnicking group. "Hey, would you like to join us?" He gestured vaguely to the group and himself.

Slight colour tainted Arthur's cheeks and his hand ran against the back of his head. He laughed politely.
"... Ahah, I'd really love to but I must be getting on and making sure every-- "
He paused, and looked down at the array of good spread out. His eyes shifted, and he took a few more steps forward. He leant down.
"... Is that tea and scones?"
He hadn't sat down with some array like that in a while...
Hadn't had the time.

After a moment to calm down, the Astrology professor smiled at the two newcomers to their lunch. She restrained the urged to giggle at the two's interaction.
"Of course Professor Kirkland, help yourself!"

Matt smiled at Al politely and nodded. "Hey how are you?" He puts some food in his mouth and glances between Al and Arthur. Were they together? He stopped that thought Well now, he thinks, maybe this is a good thing.

Al nodded to Lupe and plopped down beside Mattie, returning the blond's greeting and positively beaming at seeing Mattie eat. "Pretty good. A little swamped like I predicted the morning after the feast, but not too bad. Having such a light load with the classes is helping. I'm still working on figuring out who my prefects are going to be for the rest of the year - I'm using last years, even though they're both seventh years right now." He paused for breath and to eat a few bites.
"And you? How are Classes and Head of House duties going for you?"

Matt shrugged and began to push the food around the plate now that Al was happy. "Good, both my prefects are doing well, and not much trouble in the house." He pushes his hair back. "The only tough part is being a disciplinarian eh?" He knew he never liked to put his foot down.
"Great meal Lupe."

Lesya smiled at the two new attendants to their little picnic.
"Good afternoon Mr. Jones, Mr. Kirkland" she poured two cups of tea handing one to the Brittan and the other to the American sitting next to him. She took a sip of her tea and turned to the Brit.
"Professor before you ummm shouted something about threstrals, if i remember correctly there is a small heard in the forest, though I've never seen them before. What would they be doing coming out of the forest, and in the middle of the day of all times?"

Arthur really didn't pay attention for a moment. He was too busy picking open the teapot, stirring at it as he looked at what it was exactly. Softly placing it back satisfactorily, he nodded as he took the teacup with a polite 'thank you'. He took a moment to sip at it and revel in the soothing taste it reliquished against his lips.
There was nothig like tea, there really wasn't.
After he settled down, sitting more on the outer ring of the Professor's. He glanced out at the trees and sighed.
"They're not meant to move out of the forbidden forest and it's not like they'd want to. They're more nocturnal creatures than anything else. I'll be investigating it myself later, or I'll get the gameskeeper to have a look. Nothing to worry about." He patted at the women's shoulder in light reassurance, before settling back and looking out across the lake.
He'd spent so many evenings amongst here. Sometimes alone, sometimes with one or two companions, male or female. Either way...
Arthur sighed, and sipped at his tea.

Matt nodded. "Good idea. " he said softly, still pushing the food around. There must be something to force the creatures to leave their habitat.
